Looking for a race to run this weekend? One gives runners the choice between a half marathon, half marathon relay and 5K, and for the other, participants can run a half marathon, marathon or 50K. Since this is late notice if you haven't been running, make sure you're trained for any of these distances if you decide to enter!

Seashore Classic: The Seashore Classic half marathon, 5K and two-person half marathon relay are all scheduled for Sunday, April 13. The half marathon and relay kick off at 8 a.m. from Irish Eyes Restaurant at 213 Anglers Road in Lewes, and the 5K begins 5 minutes later, according to the Seashore Striders event page. If you haven't yet registered, you can do so from 6:30 a.m.-7:50 p.m. Sunday, according to the page.

Online registration is still available here at a discounted rate through today, April 10. It's $45 for the half marathon, $35 for the relay, per person, or $25 for the 5K, according to the Seashore Striders event page. These rates each go up by $5 for race-day registration.

Packet pickup runs from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Irish Eyes in Lewes. Race organizers write on the website they'd like people to come this day if possible.

For more information, see the event website.

Trap Pond 50K, Marathon and Half Marathon: At least in my experience, it's rare to see an ultramarathon in lower Delaware or the Lower Shore, but a 50K is being held at Trap Pond State Park outside of Laurel this Sunday, April 13.

It currently costs $60 to enter the half marathon, $75 to take part in the marathon and $85 to run the 50K, according to the race website. You can register online here until 11:59 p.m. tonight, April 10. Registration is also available from 5-6 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Grotto Pizza in Seaford or on race day at Trap Pond State Park starting at 6:45 a.m., the race website states. That's also when packet pickup takes place.

Bring cash to enter the park, too: $3 for in-state vehicles and $6 for in-state vehicles.

From my own experience, enter off Trap Pond Road rather than using the provided Baldcypress Lane address (that didn't bring me to the right spot when I drove there once to run).

According to the event website, the 50K and marathon begin at 7:30 a.m. Sunday and the half marathon begins at 8 a.m. Plenty of more information about the event, which consists of loops on the Loblolly Trail, is available at the event website.
